Embeddable booking widget
A booking widget that lives on the site you already have
You built the website. Hostibly's vacation rental booking widget drops into it: Squarespace, Wix, WordPress or hand-coded HTML, anywhere the page accepts embed code. It shows live availability, takes payment through your own Stripe account, and blocks those dates on Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com through two-way iCal sync. No rebuild, no migration, no commission to us.

Two lines, and your site takes bookings
The widget ships as embed code. You copy it out of your Hostibly dashboard and paste it where you want the booking form, the same way you would paste a map or a mailing list sign-up.
- One snippet per listing
- Your dashboard generates the code for each property with your rates, minimum stays and policies already attached to it.
- Nothing to install or update
- The widget reads live availability from your Hostibly calendar, so a night sold anywhere reads as unavailable on your site.
- No preferred platform
- There is no plugin, no theme and no marketplace listing to maintain. The only requirement is a place that accepts HTML.
Embed code
Lakehouse, unit 1<!-- Hostibly booking widget, lakehouse --><div data-hostibly="lakehouse"></div><script src="https://widgets.hostibly.io/v1.js" async></script><!-- paste into any block that accepts HTML -->Where the snippet goes
Hosts run the widget on the builders they already pay for. Each card names the exact block to look for in that editor.
- Squarespace
- Add a code block to any page or section and paste the snippet in. The widget sits inside your layout.
- WordPress
- The Custom HTML block in the editor takes the snippet as it comes. No plugin to install or keep updated.
- Wix
- Use the embed HTML element, paste the snippet, then drag the frame to the size your page needs.
- Hand-built HTML
- The simplest case of all when you control the source: one div for the widget, one script tag to load it.
- Anything with an embed field
- If your builder has a box that accepts code, the widget runs in it. That is the whole requirement.

What the booking engine takes
Embedding a widget is only cheap if the engine behind it does not charge for the privilege. Here is what each one skims from the same $3,000 week, before any card processing.
| Booking engine | Its fee on a direct booking | On a $3,000 week |
|---|---|---|
| Lodgify, Starter and Professional plans | 1.9% pay-per-booking fee on each direct reservation, plus your own processing | about $57 |
| Hostaway, Booking Website Pro add-on | 0.5% reservation fee, plus a $49 a month add-on | about $15 plus the add-on |
| The Hostibly widget | 0% booking fee. You pay your own Stripe processing and nothing to us | $0 |
Forty direct weeks a season at 1.9% is $2,280 you keep instead.
What a widget booking sets off
The widget is the front door. Everything behind it is the same machinery your OTA bookings already run on.
- Live availability
- The calendar guests see is your Hostibly calendar. A night sold anywhere reads as unavailable on your site.
- Stripe checkout
- Card payment runs through your own Stripe account and settles with your bank. We take no share of it.
- Two-way channel blocking
- A widget booking blocks Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com through iCal sync, and channel bookings block the widget.
- Your rates and rules
- Nightly rates, minimum stays and policies are set once in Hostibly and shown to every guest the same way.
- Automatic tax invoices
- The invoice issues and emails itself when the booking lands, with your business details on it.
- Guests land in your CRM
- Every direct guest is saved with full contact details and booking history, ready for repeat bookings.
On your site this afternoon
The widget is the fastest route to direct bookings we ship, because the website already exists. Starting from zero instead? We build the whole site for you.
- 1
Copy your snippet
Each listing has its own embed code in your Hostibly dashboard, with your rates, minimum stays and policies already set on it.
- 2
Paste it where bookings should happen
A code block on your homepage, a property page, or a dedicated book-now page. You choose the spot, and your design stays yours.
- 3
Let the sync do the rest
Guests check live dates, pay through Stripe, and the booking blocks the same nights on Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com through two-way iCal sync.
Hosts taking bookings from their own pages
We've booked over $50k directly through our website in eight months with Hostibly. Unsurprisingly, local businesses love booking directly because our prices are better, and we offer discounts for longer stays.
BrandonProperty Manager and CohostHostibly has made running my business a lot easier. The cleaner scheduling especially saves me a ton of time. Direct bookings have also helped me keep more repeat customers. It's nice not losing money to fees.
Daniel KingmaSuper HostI was a bit skeptical at first, but the setup service from Hostibly really delivered. All 14 listings were live in less than a month, and now my site genuinely reflects my brand and style.

Booking widget questions
Need help? Contact us here
- Will the booking widget work on my existing website?
- Almost certainly. The widget is embed code, so it works anywhere your site accepts HTML: a Squarespace code block, a Wix embed element, a WordPress Custom HTML block, or markup you or your developer wrote by hand. Copy the snippet from your Hostibly dashboard, paste it where you want the booking form, and publish. The one thing it cannot do is run inside a page you cannot edit, such as an Airbnb listing or a social profile.
- How much does the booking widget cost per booking?
- Hostibly charges 0% on bookings made through the widget. Your cost is your own Stripe processing rate, and nothing else. For comparison, Lodgify charges a 1.9% pay-per-booking fee on its Starter and Professional plans, and Hostaway charges $49 a month plus a 0.5% reservation fee for Booking Website Pro. On a $3,000 week, 1.9% is $57 that stays in your account.
- Does the widget sync with Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com?
- Yes, through two-way iCal sync. A booking on your site blocks those dates on every channel, and a booking on any channel blocks the widget, so the same night cannot sell twice. Each channel controls how often it refreshes the feed, which makes this calendar sync rather than a real-time API connection. Hostibly flags any overlap the moment it receives one.
- Who holds the payment when a guest books through the widget?
- You do. The widget runs card payment through Stripe checkout on your own Stripe account, so funds settle to your bank on Stripe's normal schedule. Hostibly never holds your money and takes no share of the payout.
- What if two bookings arrive at the same time?
- Hostibly flags the overlap as soon as it sees it, so you can cancel or move one guest before check-in.
- What if I do not have a website yet?
- Start with a full direct booking site instead. Hostibly builds you a branded site on your own domain, with your photos, policies and Stripe checkout, and our team sets the whole thing up with you. The widget is for hosts who already have a site they like. The site is for hosts starting from scratch.
- Is a booking widget worth it for a single property?
- It depends on traffic. The widget converts visitors your site already gets, so it pays off fastest on a property with repeat guests, a Google Business listing that ranks, or steady traffic from your social profiles. If almost nobody finds your site today, the booking form is not the bottleneck and we will say so on the call.
